"links".

Scp between what and what?

uname -a

Use "tar" first, use "scp" to transfer the
"tar" archive, and then unpack the "tar"
archive at the other end? "tar" normally
preserves symbolic links.

"Thanks".

(But there is an apostrophe in "You're
welcome.")

Re: scp and symbolic links

Hi,
it's not possible - scp will follow symbolic links when used with the -r option.

To copy symbolic links as symbolic links you need to use f.e. rsync or similar.
