sendmail, attachements, some send, some not so much

My first ever post here.

I have a shell script that sends sendmail attachments. Its not perfect, but I found it on ITRC and made some improvements. With or without improvements, the following strange thing happens.

A file like /etc/issue gets out through an smtp gateway just fine. A file with ascii comma delimited data in it gets rejected as invalid data.

Seems like the firewall is doing it, but I remember seeing a sendmail.cf tweak needed to handle mime correctly. Of course, I can't find it.

If you do the file command, they both show up as ascii text.

I of course have a support call open, but I'm openning it up to the field. If necessary, let me know, and I'll upload a sanitized version of the ascii file. It's got donor names and stuff and I can't attach the original.

Thanks in advance,

Steve
