sendmail local delivery
Hi,
I have configured my HP Unix 11.31 Server as an e-mail relay server. Mail delivery is working fine and I am able to push mails from my HP Unix server to our domain.
Now the problem is, before making the server as a relay server I was receiving mail in my shell describing the cron details, hardware fail etc…. by giving command “mail”.
After making this server as mail relay server am not receiving any mail in the shell either for root or any normal users.
While checking I have found that instead of sending these mails to root@localhost it is trying to send the mails to root@exchangeserver.
How can I deliver the mail which is coming to root to root@localhost instead of root@exchangeserver.
The error is showing as below in /var/spool/mqueue/dfp0B7e0N2015957
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
root
(reason: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for root@ exchnageserver.domain.com)
(expanded from: root)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to exchnageserver.domain.com:
