sftp appending

Does HPUX Secure-Shell support 'appending files' using sftp?

I cannot find anything in the sftp man page or sftp help that talks about appending to files.

So I would say no, HP-UX SSH does not support appending to files.

That's kinda what I'm thinking too, after checking a couple of things here. This could be a real problem.
