Re: smbd

Hi Norman,

Could you post your smb.conf, along with the version of CIFS (or Samba) that you are running. It sounds like you may have been trying to change file permissions from the PC side, but it would be useful to know what was going on at the time the messages were logged.

regards,

Darren.

Please post the following files.

Re: smbd

Check your samba log; it will be defined in the config file.

Re: smbd

Hi,

As you're running one of the preview versions of CIFS you may want to provide feedback - see this page: http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=CIFSTP22

Did you upgrade from one of the supported versions of CIFS? If so, were similar errors being logged at that point?

regards,

Darren.
