sound in suse 10
am not able to play mp3 and .DAT files in suse linux 10, its saying it is AVI file not recognised, i have installed RealPlayer 10, winamp for linux and xmms, but not able to play mp3 and .dat files, please help

You've probably progressed by now. But Xine is restricted in the download version of suse as regards mp3's.

for a solution.
mplayer plays them without modication.
I've no idea about the DAT Files.

DAT files are MPEG files from VCD's.
