Re: start items
Go to Start, Run. Type msconfig and click ok. You didn't say what O/S you're running. If 98, on the general tab, put a dot next to Selective Startup. Remove the dot from process Autoexec.bat and Config.sys. You won't have this in ME. Next, click on the Win.ini tab. Click the + sign beside Windows, uncheck Load= and Run=. Click on the Startup tab. Don't uncheck anything in here that you don't know what it is. But, items you recognize and don't need loading at boot, uncheck. Click apply and ok. It will ask if you want to reboot. Yes.
