Re: still i have problem with my guest on IVM

I think it is OK now:

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1269799

Not?

I'm not sure how related it is, but the OS type for this VM is UNKNOWN ... adjust this!

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: still i have problem with my guest on IVM

Does the host or the guest crash? This is not clear to me.

Hope this helps!

Re: still i have problem with my guest on IVM

Ooops ... what disk did you configure for the guest? Is it used by the host already?

Check for patches:

http://www.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=PHKL_37812&sel={hpux:11.23,}&BC=main|search|

http://www.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=PHSS_37845&sel={hpux:11.23,}&BC=main|search|

Better to do a patch assessment in ITRC.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: still i have problem with my guest on IVM

I configured differently my disk on guest

hpvmconfigure -a
disk:scsi::lv:/dev/vg01/rlvol01

or

disk:scsi:0,0,0:disk:/dev/rdsk/c5xxx -a

hpvmdevmgmt -m gdev:/dev/rdsk/c5xxx:attr:SHARE=YES

I try install on gest HPUX 11.31 FOE relase March2008 or HPUX 11.23 FOE June2008

hpvminfo give me version 3.5

Re: still i have problem with my guest on IVM

You posted a config on your previous thread, but the current is likely completely different.

I don't know your config.

You share the disk? Between what?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
