superdome - xp12k - netapps

we have hpux domes with oracle, connected to xp12ks.

does netapps work well with hpux domes instead of xp12ks?

How would you be connecting the Superdome to the Netapp?  If would be using NFS, I would not do it.  If you are doing a direct fibre connection, it may work.

not sure yet,

theyre in the process of building a storage network, so i would assume it would

have to be some sort of network protocol. 

it weird too, speaking with different people, there seems to be some confusion

as to whether domes and netapps work together at all.  ive gotten differnet stories.

not sure which to believe yet

Hi!

No problem using NetApp with HP-UX - as it will just use NFS (most likely) or iSCSI. However, XP12000 should, depending on configuration and use, outperfom NetApp.
