SQL> create table qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnmqwert(junk char(10));
create table qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnmqwert(junk char(10))
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00972: identifier is too long

you could also have see it by doing a:
desc dba_tables
or
desc user_tables
-
column table_name
-
