tachyon fibre connected to EMC connectrix

has anyone connected to a EMC connectrix box with HP tachyon card. We cannot get it to work. using the fcmsutil command shows the topology as "in-private-loop". EMC thinks this should be "in-pttopt". Can I change this? what is missing?

Hi Jeff,

be sure that you have the lastest driver release of the tachyon controller.

Arbitrated Loop (in_private_loop) was the ONLY FC protocol supported by HP. HP decided a couple of months ago to support Fabric too.

My advise is to ask EMC to set up their ports for Arbitrated Loop. If you uses Fiber Hubs to connect to the EMC don't forget to set them up for Arbitrated Loop too.

This config was tested extensivelly and it works just fine.
