The desktop messaging system could not be started
To correct the problem:
1. Choose {ok} to return to the login screen
2. Sellect failsafe from login screens optin menu and log in
3. Check to see that the desktop is properly installed, the hostname is correct (etc/hosts) and that the network is poroperly configured
Pls any help in to resolce the issue

SolutionTry to use an ssh or a telnet to login to the box.
Check if the hostname and IP-address are correctly configured.
# nslookup ip-of-host
# nslookup host-name
check the following file
/etc/hosts
/etc/nswitch.conf
/etc/resolv.conf

Is this user allowed to login directly? (sshd.config or /etc/securetty)
