Hi All,
We would like to create two listener in only one server and database. Each listener is bound to different ip address.
Please provide uss sample of listener.ora on how to configure it.
Our Oracle RDBMS is 8.1.5 which is installed in HPUX 11.
Is it possible in Oracle 8.1.5.
Thanks in advance.
Adriatico

Hi Adriatico,
Yes it is possible. Just as multiple Oracle database versions can co-exist on the same server, likewise multiple Oracle TNS Listeners can be configured on the same machine. These listeners can be of the same version or different versions .
Attached is a note from metalink (Note:149628.1 - Creating Multiple Listeners on UNIX)

Re: two listener in Oracle 8.1.5
hi Adriatico,
on top of Indira's post, have a look at note Note:111966.1.
also, consider applying patch 8.1.7.4.
