unable to connect remote agent to UPS management module

Hi,
I have been unable to get three servers - suse 11, win server 2003 and win server 2008 64 bit to connect to the UPS management module using either the Power Protection agent or the remote agent. I have tried a new module but this has made no difference. The module has a valid IP address and the web interface works correctly but the agents just do not connect to the module.
Can any one advise?

What Server model numbers are you using and connection ports?
