unable to use keytool for cert on linux 7.1 on hp server
Hi! I got a brand new DL380 with 2xXeron CPU. the OS is a Linux 7.1 as the application requries the OS to be that. we have to set a tomcat on it with SSL, so installed with java 1.4.2_05, but when we use the command to generate the keystroke for SSL
$JAVA_HOME/bin/keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA
things going smooth when ansing question but it hanged after asking confirming info "(yes/no) and before entering password.
is there any batch or anything i have to do in order to let the cert gen works? the same command is working on another type of machine (my PC).
please help! very urgent, i saw some thread in sun http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=17&thread=390829 but no one reply on that case....
thanks!

If by OS you mean Ret Hat 7.1 then try running up2date and getting all the patches in before you try again.
