Very confusing, but I think your question is.
1. you have a filesystem and the usage is increasing rapidly.
2. You found that there is a folder which is growing and you want the reason?
Or do you want to find out which folder/file is growing?

# du -sk * | sort -n | tail -10
...which will show the 10 largest 'objects' in the current directory -(an 'object' being a single file's size, or the sum of all files in a subdirectory). This allows one to quicky drill-down the the offender.
In this case, you may need to run it a couple of times looking for increases, rather than absolute size.

du -k -x /directory | sort -rn | pg (This will list and sort all subdirectories in /directory, excluding the mount points)
find /path -xdev -type f -mtime -3 -exec ls -ld {} +
(This will find files which have been modified during the last three days.)
