Okay, everytime I reboot this keystone, It tells me it cant mount my filesystems with advanced options b/c they are not supported by vxfs...
I then check to see if those options are enabled which they are not... I then do the following.
# /sbin/fs/vxfs/vxenablef
System is not licensed
host1-root:/root
# /sbin/fs/vxfs/vxenablef -a
host1-root:/root
# /sbin/fs/vxfs/vxenablef
System is licensed for features
Full_VxFS HP_DMAPI
I have had to do this the last 2 months thinking that I fixed it with vxenablef -a but the next month i have to redo it...
it is a pain b/c I have a NFS mount point on this box and I have to umonnt and remount my nfs mounts on 11 other boxes b/c of the trouble on this one.
Why am I having to reenter the vxenablef -a after every reboot?
BTW 11.11 keystone...the mount options are as follows.
vxfs delaylog,nodatainlog,largefiles,mincache=direct,convosync=direct 0 0

Hmm, one assumes htat all is well until you reboot?
If so, check your /etc/inittab file, htere should be an uncommented line like this in htere:
vxen::bootwait:/sbin/fs/vxfs/vxenablef -a
If not, insert it and try a reboot

My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: vxenable problems
Thanks that was it...
I never thought to look there on my other boxes...to see what was different.
It always worked after I did it manually when the box came up. just wouldnt stick upon a reboot and that was the reason.
