You dont really need it. Im logged in via CDE and I killed my rpc.ttdbserver process and everything is still working fine. See above link for how to disable it.

Hi Forumers,
we have HP-UX 11.11 WS and a customized inetd.conf, which has no entry for the ttdbserverd. Which applications needed this.
What effects can I have, if we have it not configured in inetd.conf. Which ToolTalk applications need this?
