where to get libpam.so

I am trying run AMS (alphaserver management station) software on Redhat Linux 7.3
AMS needs Sysman authentication server.
When I try to start smauth (/etc/init.d smauth start) I get the following error.
"/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libpam.so: Cannot open shared object file: so such file or directory.
sysman authentication server (smauthd) failed to start"
I am a novice in Linux.
I would greatly appreciate your help in fixing this problem.

Re: where to get libpam.so

hi
this is pam for redhat 7.3
you may install it:
rpm -ivh pam-0.75-46.7.3.i386.rpm

maybe you will need newer version

Re: where to get libpam.so

Thanks for the reply.
I reinstalled Linux 7.3 Choosing the server option rather than custom install and it got the PAM packaged installed automatically.
