Re: win2k ftp services
You can check whether the service is running or not through your services. Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.
are you transfering large files through ftp??
Thanks & Regards
Sri

Re: win2k ftp services
You need to make sure that both the IIS and FTP services are running, Sritharan gave the instructions on that above.
You can test connectivity right on the W2K server by doing an FTP to itself in a command prompt. If that fails you know the issue is internal, if it succeeds then you likely have a network issue.

I have a Unix box,and some files will need to ftp from Unix to win2k machine.
How can I make sure the ftp service is ok,then I do the batch job from Unix to ftp to win2k machine.
This is job will be a batch job.
So,if ftp service is disable on win2k machine,I will stop ftp to win2k machine.
