im somewhat of a newby linux user, so could some one e-mail me a working XFree86 config file? jonacl@aol.com thanks!

Hello!

Better for you is to run Xconfigurator
and configure your Xserver,
also i will send you the file.

try this.

X -configure.

it will generate a configuration file normally in the root directory.

and then run this by using.

X -xf86config

and then you can proceed from there.

and if you are running RHL,

the easiest is to use


redhat-config-xfree86
