Re: xhost +server no display

xhost + can only be executed on the commandline of a terminal within the X-environment, usually the terminal you open using a mouse button in the X environment.

What do you try to achieve?

Re: xhost +server no display

I am running the command at unix 11.11.
All the while are ok so I can say we do have x environment here.

Re: xhost +server no display

OK problem solved.
Work together with DBA
She realise env for root don't have
DISPLAY=ip number :0.0
but if we su - oracle and check the env the the info is there.
So go back to root.
Run command
DISPLAY=:0.0
export DISPLAY

then when run xhost +, ok

thanks all
