Are you delivering IaaS responsibly?

Guest Post:  Alexander Gronke, Doremus

The advantages for an enterprise moving to a cloud-delivery model and setting up infrastructure as a service (IaaS) are clear: Server provisioning drops from weeks and months to hours, even as cost structures improve. Indeed, the benefits are so great that an IT department offering IaaS can get carried away with its newfound agility and end up compromising the efficiency of the enterprise.

In a new video from the HP Helion Getting Cloud Right series, Muneer Mubashir, Group Marketing Manager for Cloud and Automation at HP Software, cautions against doing too much too soon. “Take baby steps and quick wins” is the third of three best practices Mubashir offers for IT departments seeking to maximize their IaaS investments.

Watch Mubashir in conversation with Michael Krieger to learn more best practices, as well as to hear some of the mistakes Mubashir has seen IT professionals make with IaaS. Watch the video now.
