The new HP ProLiant Gen8 servers offer insight and functionality that has never been seen before. ProLiant Gen8 features exclusive HP Active Insight Architecture, which provides IT professionals with unheard of insight into the current health of each server.  Active Insight Architecture offers powerful new capabilities that automate and simplify system provisioning, troubleshooting and software updates.

One of the exciting advancements now available for ProLiant Gen8 servers is a mobile Server Lifecycle Management tool. The iLO (integrated Lights-out) mobile application gives your IT department the flexibility to manage the servers from their smartphones or tablet devices.

It is all about a work-life balance. This allows IT employees to do their work where they are and still have access to everything they need, said Jim Odasz, HP Insight Management product manager.

Communication between the server and your device is encrypted both directions. The remote console also provides keyboard, mouse and video are integrated with the hardware; if a problem arises, you still have access to connect and fix any problems.

At the Pathways to Cloud Roadshow 2012 sponsored by HP and Intel®, you will learn how HP experts can help your organization establish a new cloud infrastructure. Or, if you already utilize cloud capabilities, they will show you how to best evolve your current system to meet your current and future needs.

Experts will be on hand at the exhibit hall portion of the road show to discuss how iLO mobile can revolutionize your data center. Imagine the decrease in downtime your enterprise will experience, if your IT officials can verify outages and correct them, no matter where they are.

HP Pathways to Cloud Road Show is currently touring the U.S. until April 19. The roadshow will help you explore and understand the key elements involved on the path to cloud.  The 14-city event stops in Washington D.C., Chicago, Phoenix, Denver and San Francisco.
