Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

Re: 887

Beware when ever you change date or time on your system. It can have create problems with applications and databases that use date and or time.

You asked the question in the HP3000 site so if I assume this is the machine you have to change processor time you can enter command clkutil at the ISL> prompt on reboot.

You question stated that the machine was a 887 which is a hp-ux box if that is the case you will need to:
kill cron before changing the time/date and enter date command "date mmddhhmmyy"
then restart cron afterwards.
