How do I change the processor date on an 887 cpu

Beware when ever you change date or time on your system. It can have create problems with applications and databases that use date and or time.

You asked the question in the HP3000 site so if I assume this is the machine you have to change processor time you can enter command clkutil at the ISL> prompt on reboot.

You question stated that the machine was a 887 which is a hp-ux box if that is the case you will need to:
kill cron before changing the time/date and enter date command "date mmddhhmmyy"
then restart cron afterwards.
