Configurators

Does HP have any online information or downloadable applications for configuration of HP9000 servers?
I have some systems that need to be migrated to more powerful models and I'd like to some capacity planning for them.
Any information on this would be great.
Thanks.

Re: Configurators

The configuration (Kernel tuning etc.) is mostly dependant on the role the server has. Quite often the application vendor supplies information on what to do in this respect. HP generally doesn't provide this for third party applications.
Make a search on the internet for:
"HP-UX kernel tuning" and you'll find a lot of information in this area.

Re: Configurators

You want to d/load perfview and measureware from software.hp.com to find where your system bottlenecks are, and then upgrade/ reconfigure accordingly afterwards.
