DAT 40 not seen with SEA command at BCH main menu
hello,
I have connected a new DAT40 external Tape drive ,to my HP3000 969KS /220, i used the SE SCSI connector, when in BCH main menu , and with sea command i can't get any other path with sequential media description except my internal DDS2 drive.The PDC FW of the server is 2.9.could someone help on this ?

HP e3000 Business Servers Configuration Guide advises:
DDS-4 (Supported on N- and A-Class running 7.0 express 1)
â ¢ SCSI-3 LVDS (Low voltage differential SCSI) interface Ultra2 wide compatible
I do not recall that the SE SCSI port on the 969KS core I/O is compatible.
These DLT drives work, connected to a FWD adapter: C6378A DLT-8000 Desktop drive
C6379A DLT-8000 Rack ready drive
DDS-4 (Supported on N- and A-Class running 7.0 express 1)
