GSP Firmware Upgrades
We're trying to upgrade our GSP Firmware.
Since all of our sites are in different states/countries, can this upgrade be done remotely?
Thanks in advance.

Re: GSP Firmware Upgrades
To add for info on this. What I'd like to do is from my office in Virginia change the GSP Firmware Version on a machine in Arkansas...but I want to do it. Not the Arkansas personnel.

Re: GSP Firmware Upgrades
Here is what the GSP help info says about upgrading the firmware. You can get to this info by entering the GSP help menu ("he" from the GSP prompt) then after typing "li" to list the commands type "xu" to see this information. From what this info says it should be possible.
The upgrade is performed using ftp over the GSP LAN, which must therefore
be operational. The user must enter the ftp server IP address, login,
password, and the directory in which the upgrade files reside.
Modem connections will be dropped. The XU command can be run from the
LAN, WEB, or local ports. If the upgrade is successful, the
GSP will reboot and come up using the new firmware.
If the upgrade fails, the GSP will return to the prompt with instructions
on what went wrong, and what to do next.
Upgrading the GSP software and rebooting the GSP can be safely performed
without affecting the operation of the server.
The version of GSP firmware is displayed at the top of the main help menu.
