HP RP4440 WILL NOT POWER ON???

I turned on the server this morning and logged into MP / VFP / LED Blinking RED / went into SL - Server Log and had a BAD BATTERY - MP.

I replaced the Battery with a known good one and the server will still not power up even after going into the command menu and turning the power on..

I'm stuck and suggestions?

No not anymore. I have unplugged and brought it back up severl times and nothing about the Battery in SL anymore.

Any errors indicated on the diag panel?

Check the power status and event logs to see the POST results indicate.

I did get the server powered up now...

DVD Seemes to be dead

SL READS

RTC_RESET_TO_EPOCH

ALSO

RTC_SDRAM_INVALID

Not sure what that means?

Replace/repair the DVD - it's needed for POST.

The RTC messages have to do with the Real Time Clock being reset when you changed the battery.


Can you post the hexcodes for those errors or find another working system and use slview to check the message meanings.
