Re: How to find a tape is internal or external and hot swappable

From the C1533A you only find out that this is a DDS2 tape drive, you can not tell if it is external or internal. However from the bus path "10/12/5.0.0" I think this is a K-series server. On the Ks, the 10/12/ bus is an internal without external connection and has the tapr drive and CDROM drive on it. So this tape drive is internal. Not only this drive is not hot swappable, you have to shutdown the server and open it up to get to it.

Please post

# model
# ioscan -fn

DDS drives are usually not hot plug.

Hope this helps!
