Re: How to install SCSI Ultra320 A6961-60011 on rp4440 to increase volume space.

I assume you have mirrored internal disks for vg00 (each is 300GB).

This should be MORE than enough for vg00!!!

Now you have a new SCSI controller installed.

Now what? You need some external disks to store your data!

Create another volume group on them!!!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

What kind of disks did you connect? What chassis model?

Can you see them in ioscan?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

The disk are 146.8GB 15k Ultra320scsi model BF14689BC5, have 8 drives in a COMPAQ StorageWorks, here have a full display of ioscan, and I can see only the 2 default 300gb disks the others I can┬┤t.

Re: How to install SCSI Ultra320 A6961-60011 on rp4440 to increase volume space.

It looks almost like a MSA30, but I'm sure this is not supported with hp-ux.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Hi, some good news, after googling, I reduce the scsi speed in Service Menu from max to ultra160 and now I see te disks look:

Service Menu: Enter command > SCSI

This may take a while. Please wait...

Re: How to install SCSI Ultra320 A6961-60011 on rp4440 to increase volume space.

Interesting (but still unsupported).

How about

# mptconfig /dev/mpt3

I also wonder why the internal controller has ID 3 - I would adjust this back to ID 7!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
