L1000 shuts down both fans go yellow :( Help...
Hopefully a veteran of the 9000 can chime in.
I have a L1000...
Recently, I walked in the server room and found someone had turned off the airconditioning... (yeah don't go there already had that conversation.. he he)
Anyway, my L1000 was down and I had a yellow light on the front cabinet fan
No problem, I have had those before.
Ordered 2 more fans (for front back)
Powered on the box, it stayed on about 5-10 minutes and then powers down on its own
BOTH fans go yellow.
It sometimes stays on long enough to get past the kernel (alloc) part of the boot so I am hoping my data is fine..
I have never had it stay on now up to a login
All the GSP says is "Cabinet" fan error that's it
Any suggestions? I found this old post

Has anyone had this power down experience?
Any help, or moral support is greatly appreciated..

Re: L1000 shuts down both fans go yellow :( Help...
Again, the power off is strange as I can break the boot sequence let the system just stand there, and bam it shutsdown and BOTH back and front cabinet lights go yellow at the same time...

Re: L1000 shuts down both fans go yellow :( Help...
Could be platform monitor or loose cable but you might want to swap power supplies if the fans haven't resolved anything to see if it stays up.
What product model revision (A or B? -> ) is this and firmware (PDC) version are you running? Earlier versions of firmware had overtemp warning failures:

Have you looked at the GSP logs (SL command)?
