Linux and networking via thinnet3000 Series 922LX
hello everyone the company i work for has just replaced their old HP 3000 Series 922LX server. I have the printer, the CIO boxes, the thin MAU connector, and the HP 2345A which allows the server to communicate via modem to the outside world. My question is could this server be used as a file server or backup server and be connected to our ethernet hub here in our company. I have a BNC to RJ45 converter, and I think I can change the IP address of the computer. It this at all possible?

Hi there.
Your basic ideas are ok and it should work, but before connecting that thing to the net, change the ip address.
