Re: MP port issue
Just wondering if this could be a switch port setting problem. I don't know what kind of rp server you have, but the mp port is usually 10/100mb.
Ask your network guys to check the settings on the switch port, it should be 10 or 100mb fixed no autoneg.

Re: MP port issue
are you able to ping to the MP IP address, see if from the Network Telnet is disabled on the Switch Ports.
alternatively if you can ping from the MP Lan IP see if that Secure Access is there.
CM>SA (Set Mp Access)
Like on my system this is
[hpkol] MP:CM> sa
SA
This command allows you to modify MP access configuration.
Current Set Access Configuration:
R - Remote/Modem : MANAGEMENT ACCESS
T - Telnet : Enabled
W - Web SSL : Enabled
- - SSH : Disabled (MP Feature Not Licensed)
I - IPMI over LAN : Enabled

Re: MP port issue
its relatively easy to configure the netwotk parameters in the MP
login in to the MP as administrator, issue cm command and then lc command
cm>lc
do you want to modify network paramters? y/n
answer y and change items as required
