RP8400

I have cell boards that came out of an rp7410 will I have any problems using them in a rp8400.On hp's web site the same cell board is used in both machines.

If the part number is the same, I don't see why it would not work.

If the part number is different the configuration may not be supported. There may be firmware issues to deal with.

Yes, cell boards for rp7410 and rp8400 are the same. You must definitely ensure, that cell boards firmware have the same firmware, if not you must upgrade the firmware.

Note, that if both boards have processors of the same speed, you can use the boards in one hard partition. If the boards have processors with different speed, you can use the boards with different hard partitions only.

You are supposed to be able to use the cell boards from the rp7410 in the rp8400. To be safe, you might have an HP CE do the install to make sure all the firmware is up to date.
