TCP Printing with Canon IR400 and HPe3000 A500

We would like to do TCP printing with a Canon iR400 printer with a Canon netport iR P1/R1 on a HP3000 A500. I am not getting any repsonse from the netport. Does anyone know what the npconfig configuration should be? I have already tried TCP port 9100 but without any luck.

Re: TCP Printing with Canon IR400 and HPe3000 A500

Hello Robert,

The MPE network spooler "expects" to get a response to the PJL status inquiry (from the printer) and also "expects" a SNMP response (from the network interface). If the printer cannot respond with PJL, then the spooler will not send data. In that case, use a different printer, or use a third-party spooler (i.e. NBSpool from Quest Software).
A problem well defined is half solved.
