rp8400 boot problem.URGENT!
I've got a rp8400 boot problem. When I run PE from MP:CM> to power the cabinet, the Cells' status from vfp were "Power On", and then they stayed at Power On status, not went forward to boot the partition; then I run rs to reset the partition, Cells' status from vfp were "Reset" and stayed. It seemed that MP just dilivered the signal to Cells and then system did not tried to boot the partition. I've swapped the MPs, and swapped the Cells(0 and 1), nothing got better.attached file is output from MP's ps command, hopefully it would provide some usefull detail. It did tell that HW status of CELLs was not ok.
What would be the cause of this problem?
Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for you reply!
Where to tell that there were VRM errors of both Cell boards? I compared to the situation of a running rp8400, and they were the same.

Re: rp8400 boot problem.URGENT!
I am sorry, it may not be the VRM failures. I have overlooked the logs.
Go through the logs collected. Check for the phrase "FAILURE DETECTED" (you can see it for both the cell boards)
Could you share the following logs?
MP>sl
sel ==> For selecting ├в System Event Log├В
d ==> For selecting ├в dump├В " wait for completion of this command
Ctrl+b ==> To exit from SEL menu
MP>sl
fpl ==> For selecting ├в Forward progress Log├В
d ==> For selecting ├в dump├В " wait for completion of this command
Ctrl+b ==> To exit from SEL menu

No particular log from SL, I am sure about that. Everything seemed fine, just the partition could not boot, or could not enter selftest procedure.

Did any changes recently? How many nPars are there?
I could see that both the cell boards are in BIB "Boot is blocked"

Re: rp8400 boot problem.URGENT!
What you read also confused me, I thought that the root cause of this issue produce this.

Re: rp8400 boot problem.URGENT!
There is not enough information to determine anything except the following:
HW status for Cell 0 : FAILURE DETECTED
Core cell is INVALID
HW status for Cell 1 : FAILURE DETECTED
Core cell is INVALID
This is kind of a generic message. If it were the VRM (* voltage regulator module *) there would be an additional message.
You're going to have to get HP out there, regardless.
Also, look in ISEE. ISEE is the phone HP on error application. If you had ISEE HP would already have the logs, the solution, and be at your door.
