CDwriter for 9000/800 G70 series
Is there drivers and application software available to be able to write files
to a cdwriter connected directly to the scsi port of the 9000. Application
software for HP unix comparable to the Adaptec software shipped with the HP
9200 series drives.

Re: CDwriter for 9000/800 G70 series
The HP CD Writer Plus 9200 is sold to be connected to a PC running WIN9X or NT
and is supplied with software to run on those platforms. It is not supported on
the HP UNIX platforms. You may want to ask your questions in the HP-UX and/or
the Mass Storage Forums to see if anybody knows of any non-HP-UX software and
drivers that would access the CD Writer. This forum is mainly for hardware
related questions about the 9000 and 3000 Systems.

Re: CDwriter for 9000/800 G70 series
There's free software for burning CDs on UNIX. It's called cdrecord. Here's
the website for it:

cord.html
Also, there's a free software package used to make ISO formatted CD disk images
called mkisofs that you'll need as well. A binary can be downloaded from:
