Can we restore npar Ignite image to another vpar

Hi,

Please let me know whether we can build a vpar instance by restoring a npar image from Ignite server.

Thanks

As long as the vPar software is already installed or installed during the restore in one go - yes.

Hope this helps!

Question: vpar don't have a lif area while npars do. How do you get around the lif?

Each boot disk has a LIF, no matter if vPars or not.

But in vPars environment some settings normally read from there are simulated (read from vpdb, in fact - AUTO file for example).

Hope this helps!
