Confused.

I purchased a refurbished RP5470. It includes, what appears, 3 NIC's. One on the SCSI card, One on the Serial Card (GSP??), and a standalone NIC.

Which is the GSP and how in the heck do I determine which is which? When I swap cables and configured a couple of the NIC's with an ip, one immediately went disabled?

Re: Confused.

The GSP lan is the one next to the serial plug.

I found that information on page 52 of the "Installation Guide, Third Edition - HP rp5400 Family of Servers" here:

Re: Confused.

GSP is the second card from bottom and not accessible for hp-ux.

The bottom slot is the core I/O and usually lan0.

Hope this helps!
