I would request an interpretation of the following PS status. We have 4 servers in a certain site where temperature conditions had gone beyond threshold. 2 of them were shutdown by customer and 2 went down automatically. We have collected the PS output as of now (all systems are power off condition):-
PS
System Power state: Off
Temperature : Med OverTemp
PS
System Power state: Off
Temperature : Med OverTemp
PS
System Power state: Off
Temperature : High OverTemp
PS
System Power state: Off
Temperature : Status is not available
Especially why the last is showing "Status is not available" is the point of concern for the customer.
Will appreciate all inputs.
Thanks in advance

This abnormal output seems to be due to over temperature.
You can ask Local onsite person in the Datecener to check the environment and the room temperature. May be there are more issues out there ,
There is nothing much you can do remotely,

Re: Difference in CM>PS output
I am the onsite person. You are right in that there was an over-temperature condition (due to AC outage). The customer had powered down 2 of the rp4440's (and 2 others went down automatically before the customer had reached at site).
I checked the CM>PS output and noticed the difference...3 of them showing "Med/High OverTemp", and 1 showing "Status is not available".
Wanted to know the reason...

Re: Difference in CM>PS output
Your data center needs a critical temperature shutdown sensor, something disconnects power to everything when the temperature exceed 90 deg F (32 deg C). I have personally seen thousands of dollars in damage when the AC goes out and only a few items actually shutdown by themselves. The rest of the equipment is scrap -- unrepairable due to the thermal stress (that never gets better).
