ENTRY INIT Status -5, when trying to load RP7440

I get this error when trying to boot to an external DVD drive on Partition 1 of a rp7440. External DVD is a C7499A in a C7508A( Tape array 5300). DVD drive and media are both known to be good.

I am having trouble locating any info on this error. Can anyone provide some assistance?

IMHO this means "Unrecoverable data error", so I would try to clean the disk and check the cable for bent pins.

Hope this helps!

Yea, already tried 2 different cables and discs. I guess the terminator could be bad.

Not sure if it matters but we are trying to boot from SCSI Port A on the base SCSI/LAN card for the 2nd core IO.
