I am seeing message in the console logs of my rp8420 that indicate that a cpu fan has failed. Is this hot swap-able or will I have to take the system down to replace it?
Thanks in advance
Pam

Solutionyou need a downtime for the partition (minimum), because the cell has to be removed from the server in order to access the fan.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Is a CPU fan on an rp8420 hot swap-able?
Could you post the log that you read? It would also be helpful if you could post the output from the MP. Choose cm, and then ps, and t for cabinet.
thanx!!
