L3000 550mhz Procs.
My GSP is at Rev.B v.2.04. I understand that I have to update this in 2 steps, first to 2.15, then to 2.21. Do I need to change any permissions after extracting the tar archive, and is there a particular directory structure (like /tmp/Console/B.02.15 or just /B.02.15)?
Is there any type of progress indicator during update/upgrade.
I know this is different then the 44.12 PDC code.

Re: L3000 550mhz Procs.
Hi,
Any directory will do as long as ftp can get to it and read the files. IIRC, I usually just make the directory 777 and didn't have to change the file permissions.
For an example of an update see these release notes:
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/firmware_patches/hp/cpu/PF_CCANGSPB0220.txt

Re: L3000 550mhz Procs.
Thank you. I found out the issue is the host containing the Firmware needs to be on the same ipaddress subnet as the GSP (if GSP is set to 192.168.2.1, and host is 192.168.3.1, it will not work, even if netmask is 255.255.255.0 on both), host and GSP MUST be on 192.168.2.1 and 2.x.

Re: L3000 550mhz Procs.
the host and gsp must on same ip subnet and not same network subnet.
