Memory Upgrade L class

Hi ,

We have a L3000-5X server with two memory extenders. I want know whether these extenders can be used for my L3000-8X server for the upgrade ?

Server1 L3000-5X 10GB 4*PA8600 550 Mhz
Server2 L3000-8X 4GB 4*PA8700 875Mhz (target)

I assume you are talking about the memory carrier, the cage that plugs into the system board, into which the memory DIMMs are plugged. They are the same for the L3000 series, rp5430 and rp5470:

Thank u very much for ur prompt response. Just to clarify L3000-5X is RP5430

and L3000-8X is RP5470

The L3000-5X used the PA-8600 chipset and the L3000-8X used the PA-8700+. As I understand it, both of those chipsets correspond to an rp5470. The rp5430 equates to an L1500 with a PA-8600 or PA-8700 (no plus sign) chipset.

I just checked the product nos of both the systems L3000-8x is A6144B

and L3000-5X is A6144A

And the memory specs just matches wow !!!
