Question about parts.

AB290A is　not supported on rp7410, rp8400, or on the initial release HP 9000 Superdomes.
So I think we can not use AB290-69002 in place of A5383A.
Can AB290-69002 really use on rp7410, rp8400, or on the initial release HP 9000 Superdomes. ?
Additionally, there are difference of size between AB290A and A5383A.so We can not install to some slots )

From the note in the compatability matrix:

The 10 Gigabit Ethernet AB287A, and the AB290A and AB465A combination cards, are not supported on rp7410, rp8400, or on the initial release HP 9000 Superdomes—those that have PA8600, PA8700, or PA8700+ PA-RISC processors inside.

I would say its more an issue with compatability with the legacy architectures.  If HP went through the trouble to add the note, they likely have experienced problems.

The slot size of the rp7410/8400 is the same as those in the rp7420/8420, etc. so there isnt an issue of size, just technical compatability.
