RP 5430 Fan error
Hi all
We have the following error on the GPS consol :
date : 11/28/2009 TIME 13:01
ALERT LEVEL : 6 BOOT POSSIBLE PENDING
FAILURE ACTION REQUIRED
SOURCE : 6 PLATEFORM
SOURCE DETAIL : 3 CABINET FAN SOURCE ID 0
PROBLEM DETAIL : 4 FAN FAILURE
CALLER SUBACTIVITY : 4 = MONITOR STATUS :F
CALLER SYBACTIVITY : 05 FAN
REPORTING ENTITY TYPE : 2 POWER MONITOR REPORTING ENTITY ID :00
The fan 0 (in front of the server) runs well despite an amber light in the bottom left corner.
What can we do to cure this alert

I would go ahead and replace the fan. If I recall correctly, the light should be green. If it's amber, there's probably a good reason.

The fan may be dead or too slow - however, this is an error. Replace the fan.
