RP7410 won't boot

Hi,

My RP7410 is booting and stays up for few minutes and than crashes again. Can some please help me decipher the error log? I see there is a CPU error, but what CPU number?

Thank you for any help

Re: RP7410 won't boot

When you look at the logs, choose text mode to view the contents.
For the rp7410, you would type:

SL -> E -> V -> T

and then return to see each log in detail.

Re: RP7410 won't boot

The event logs indicate an HPMC is occurring.  The MP logs may not give a complete description of the issue, but there are a couple of clues.

IO_LBA_PCI_LATCH_OPEN_ERR - indicating that a PCI slot is not able to power on.  Check the physical latches on the server to be sure they are all secure.  This may or may not be related to the crash events though.

MEM_NOT_SYSTEM_DIMM - Supposed to indicate a non-compatible DIMM in the system, but could mean the DIMM is failed in some strange way.  It looks like the DIMM is slot 0B on cell 01.

As mentioned, use the "text" mode to view more details about the events to give you the locations for each that may help you resolve this.

Re: RP7410 won't boot

Hi ,

IO_LBA_PCI_LATCH_OPEN_ERR , Please  close the PCI latch located at Cabinet 0,  I/O Bay 0, I/O Chassis 0 , Slot 2 or check for possible issue with the Slot or Card

MEM_NOT_SYSTEM_DIMM, Incompatible System DIMM Installed at  Cabinet 0, Cell 1 , DIMM Slot 0B, Please Remove or replace the incompatibe DIMM

Hope This Helps
