RP7420 - No Lan Cards found under Service Menu
I've been unable to Ignite this box and have been getting some strange results when doing a boot lan install
Boot Path to PFA failure.
Please make sure that the I/O card is installed correctly.
If I try other cards it sits for a while before failing. If I go into Information / IO I can see the following;
Communications dev 1/0/0/0/0 0 Built-In 0x103c 0x1290
Comm. serial cntlr 1/0/0/0/1 0 Built-In 0x103c 0x1048
SCSI bus cntlr 1/0/0/3/0 0 Built-In 0x1000 0x0021

Ethernet cntlr 1/0/12/0/0/6/1 97 3 0x8086 0x1079
If go into Service Menu and select LanAddress I get the following
Service Menu: Enter command > lanaddress
Path Slot
Lan Station Address (dec) #
------------------- ----- ---
WARNING: No lan devices found in allowed bootable lan slots
In the MP if I do a du I get the following
[hp72] MP:CM> du
The following MP bus devices were found:
+---+----+----+-----+-----+-------+-----+
| | | | | | | |
| | |LAN\| Sys | | IO | |
|Cab| MP |SCSI|Bkpln|Cells|Chassis| BPS |
| # |M S|0 1| | 0 1 | 0 1 | 0 1 |
+---+----+----+-----+-----+-------+-----+
| 0 |* | *| * | * * | * * | * * |
+---+----+----+-----+-----+-------+-----+
I notice no * under LAN.
Any ideas? I'm stumped.
